Privacy Policy

American Homesteads LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company ("American Homesteads," "we," "us," or "our"), operates AmericanHomesteads.org (the "Site"), a digital marketplace connecting families with vetted builders, land professionals, educators, and other partners for self-sufficient homestead living. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Newsletter & Free Guide Signup. When you sign up to receive our Homestead Starter Guide or join our email list, we collect your name and email address through our email service provider, MailerLite.
• "Begin Your Journey" Inquiry Form. When you tell us about your homestead goals, we collect your name, email address, state or region, the type of help you're looking for, and any details you choose to share. This information is saved in Airtable, the secure database our team uses to track and answer your request. You're also added to our email list through MailerLite so we can follow up, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
• Partner Applications. If you're a builder, educator, or other business applying to be listed as a partner, we collect the business and contact information you provide via email.
• Automatic Information. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically logs standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and performance purposes. Our forms also use Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-friendly check that blocks spam bots.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your inquiries and connect you with relevant partners in our network
• Send you the Homestead Starter Guide and, if you've subscribed, occasional newsletters and educational content
• Improve our website and the services we offer
• Maintain the security and proper functioning of our Site

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we have no plans to do so. American Homesteads LLC does not participate in data brokering or advertising exchanges that involve the sale of personal data.

If you have questions about how your personal information is used, or wish to request that any information associated with you be removed from our records, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

Sharing Your Information

We may share your information in these limited circumstances:

• With Partners You Choose to Connect With. If you ask us to connect you with a builder, educator, or other partner, we will share relevant details from your inquiry with that partner so they can follow up with you.
• Service Providers. We use MailerLite for email communications, Airtable to keep track of your requests, and Cloudflare for website hosting, security and spam protection. These providers process information on our behalf and have their own privacy policies.
• Legal Requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests.

Your Choices

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any newsletter. To request that we delete information you've previously shared with us, email [email protected] and we'll respond as soon as we're able.

Keeping Your Information Safe

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information and limit access to the people on our team who need it to help you. If a security breach ever affects your personal information, we will notify you as Tennessee law requires.

Do Not Track

Our Site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because we do not track you across other websites or sell your information to advertisers.

Children's Privacy

Our Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
